Chief Minister Bhajan Lal on Tuesday approved the proposal of the Finance Department in this regard. Now under the seventh pay scale in the state, state employees and pensioners will be increased from 53 percent to 55 percent dearness allowance or inflation relief. About 8 lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners will get the benefit of this decision.
Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad employees will also get the benefit of this increase. Employees will be paid cash pay in May 2025 in May 2025, in cash payment of dearness allowance increased from salary and from 1 January to 31 March 2025, the amount of three months will be deposited in the general provisional fund account of the employees concerned.
Pensioners will be paid cash for inflation relief from 1 January 2025. This decision taken in the interest of employees and pensioners will bring an annual financial burden of about Rs 820 crore to the state government.
Chief Minister’s personnel gift in New Year:
Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma has given a 2% increase in dearness allowance to the state personnel on the occasion of New Year Vikram Samvat (2082) and new financial year 2025-26. Pensioners will also be payable by 2% increase in inflation relief.
